
Paula Puškárová
Dr. Paula Puškárová has been serving as the Vice-Rector for Research and Doctoral Studies at the University of Economics in Bratislava, Slovakia as of February 2019. Earlier, she was a Fulright Post-Doc Research Fellow in 2015/16 and Visiting Professor at the School of Diplomacy and International Relations at the Seton Hall University, New Jersey, USA in the Fall 2016/17. She also has worked on several projects with the Vienna University of Economics and Management (Wirtschaftsuniversitaet Wien) – first as a Research Fellow at the Institute for Social Policy and later did two semesters at the Institute for Economic Geography and Geoinformatics, Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2013/2014. She was involved in projects on Urban Long-Term Care Policies in Central Europe, on Patient and Health Professional Mobility, or on modeling regional spillover effects across the EU.
She has experience with EU-level project management and in economic modelling (published author in the field of spatial modelling and regional development). She published in Economic Systems, Political Economy, Measurement, Comparative Economic Research, International Journal of Management and Economics, Economic Research Guardian. Her current research interests entail regional growth, knowledge and human capital management and migration, inequality spillovers, environmental spillovers as well as other spatial externalities arising from international movements of labor and capital.
